Barti Setup
The first step in setting up your VOIP phone is to add the phone in Barti. You will need to do this for each individual phone that you want to setup.
Each phone your set up will need its own entry
- User completing setup must be an org admin (able to view Organization Settings page)
- Go to Organization Settings > Communication
- Click “Add Phone”
- Create a phone display name, SIP username, SIP password (make one up - Each Password Should be Unique)
- SIP username must be unique to the org
- SIP password must contain 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number (12 characters minimum)
- Choose the phone's transfer number (1-99). This will be the extension number dialed to transfer a phone call.
- Create a phone display name, SIP username, SIP password (make one up - Each Password Should be Unique)
- Follow the physical phone manual to add the SIP username and SIP password to the phone

Configuring Your Phone
Step 1 - Setup your phone and connect it to the internet. You should have at least 1 phone connected to the internet through a wired connection (If possible). You can connect the others via wireless.

When the phone is connected to a wireless network, the Wi-Fi icon
will display in the status bar.

The next steps will be done through your browser to complete your registration. You will need to have
Accessing the web user interface
Once your phone is connected to the Internet, you can proceed to the following steps:
- Press OK to obtain the IP address of the phone.
- Open a web browser on your computer, enter the IP (IPv4) address into the address bar (for example, "http://192.168.0.10" or "192.168.0.10").
- You will likely see a warning that Your connection is not private
- Click on the "Advanced" button
- Click on to "Proceed to 192.168.x.x (unsafe)"
- In the Login page, type the user name (default: admin) and password (default: admin) and click Login.
- Log into your Yealink Phone using the following credentials
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
- Navigate to Account -> Register
- Enter in your settings (See Image Below)
- Set Line Active to "On"
- Enter in a label fo ryour phone in the Label and Display Name (This can be anything you want, it will be what appears in on your phone. examples can be "Front Desk", "Office", etc..)
- Copy and paste the username you created into the Register Name and Username
- Copy and Past your password
- Copy and Paste the SIP address
- Click Confirm
- Registration Status should show as "Registered" and the label should appear on your phone
Phone Transferring
Once you have all your phones registered, you can add them to your contacts list within Yealink so that you can easily transfer without needing to remember an extension number. Here are the steps to take
- Login to your Yealink Phone
- Navigate to Directory > Local Directory
- Click on 'New Contacts'
- Give the phone a name (i.e. Front Desk, Back Office, Doctor's Office, Optical) and enter the Transfer Number into the Office Number and Save
- You will create a contact for each phone in each location.

Troubleshooting
- If you have entered in all of your information, but the registration fails please try the following:
- Make sure you have copied and pasted your register name, username, password, and SIP address from Barti directly into the phone registration (not manually typed)
- Make sure there are no extra spaces in any of the fields for the register name, username, or password
- If you have a firewall (Mcafee or Norton), try disabling and seeing if the phone will register
- If you are registered, but having issues receiving or placing calls
- If you have a firewall, please try deactivating it to see if that makes a difference
- You can also try changing your connecting (if your connection is wired, try wifi. If on wifi, try a wired connection)
- Ensure that your headset receive is plugged into the correct port
- Ensure that each registered phone in Barti has a Unique password
FAQ
- What if the phone rings when no one is available in the office?
- If the hardware is “on” the phone will continue to ring
- If the hardware if “off” and no one is logged into Barti/accepting calls, the patient will be told that no one is available to take the call
- Who can add/remove/edit hardware settings?
