Overview
This article is to walk you through how to use Barti. It goes through each feature of Barti with an overview as well as a video walkthrough. Each staff member should review this article prior to going live.

Profile and Organizational Settings (back to top)
Once a user logs in, they should first navigate to their Account Profile to update their settings. This is where you can update your personal information, add your NPI and license, choose whether you need to be on the dropdown of staff members assigned to appointments, and add a provider signature on file (for ODs).
A practice admin will have access to the Organization Settings. The following can be accomplished in the Organization Settings
- Update Practice Name
- Add Tax ID and update Timezone
- Upload custom Logo
- Connect to your Vision Web Account
- Update your location information and add additional locations
- The name of the location in the Organization Settings will be the name used in Appointment Reminders

User Management
Barti allows you to create users for your staff members. This feature is available for all administrators. If you need administrative access, please have any current admins reach out to support@barti.com to request access.

The home page allows you to see your day at a glance. It will contain the following
- Appointments for today.
- As a provider, you will be able to see all appointments assigned to you.
- As a staff member, you will be able to see all appointments
- Exams - Exams can be created or viewed directly from the homepage. Exams that are created from the home page will be linked to the appointment and can also be viewed from the appointment
- Notifications - Any notification that needs action taken will be shown
- Create New - You will be able to create a number of new items directly from the homeage

The patient profile is where you can find any information specific to the patient.

Intake Form (Back to top)
The Intake form is located in the Patient section of Barti. This is the form that patients will need to complete prior to checking in.
Best Practices for the intake
- Since the intake is not automatically sent out, you will need to manually schedule it. This can be done by clicking on an appointment and clicking on the menu (3 dots) to go to 'More Options'. From there you will Add a Reminder and choose it for 1-3 days prior to the appointment. You will choose your 'Intake' template. If you do not have a template for your intake you can create it through your Communication Center
- If the patient has scheduled within 1-3 days, the intake can be sent instantly by navigating to the patient's profile -> Messages and choosing the intake message template
- If the patient has not completed the intake pior to arrival
- If the patient has their phone, you can text the intake to the patient
- The practice can have an iPad available for the patient to fill out the intake
- If the patient is unable to fill the intake digitally, the staff can verbally go through the intake with the patient
- The staff can keep paper copies of the intake available for a patient to complete if it cannot be done digitally

Patients have the option to book an appointment directly through a practice website or through Google maps. They will be able to choose their location, appointment type, and provider preference. From there, they will need to add their Name, DOB, and phone number.
Once a patient requests an appointment, it will need to be approved by the staff. During the approval the staff can do the following
- Update the appointment type
- Update the date, time, and duration of the appointment
- Choose to send the confirmation text message
- Link the appointment to a patient
- If the patient's first name, last name, and DOB exactly match a patient on record, Barti will automatically link the patient to the request
- If the patient's name does not match, you will be able to search to link to an existing patient or create a new patient
