To ensure the best experience with Barti’s integrated phone and texting features, your office internet must meet specific connectivity standards. If you are experiencing audio lag, dropped calls, or message delays, follow the steps below to test your network's compatibility with Twilio.
Step 1: Orientation
Before starting, ensure you are using a Barti-recommended browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge). For the most accurate results, run this test on the computer where you are experiencing the most issues.
Step 2: Run the Network Test
Navigate to the Twilio Network Test site: https://networktest.twilio.com/
-
The test will begin automatically. It will check your:
UDP Connectivity: Essential for voice calls.
Bandwidth: Ensures you have enough speed to handle data.
Frame Loss/Latency: Checks for "jitter" that causes choppy audio.
Allow the test to run until all sections are marked as Complete.
Step 3: Capture and Share Results
Once the test finishes, the Barti team needs to see the technical details to help you optimize your setup.
-
Take a Screenshot: Capture the full results page.
Note: Please ensure your browser is in Light Mode before taking the screenshot to ensure the text is legible for our support team.
Send to Barti: Share the screenshot or the "Log" results with your Customer Success Manager or your Implementation Manager.
What if the test fails?
If you see "Red X" marks or "Failed" status in the UDP or Voice sections, your office firewall may be blocking the ports required for Barti to communicate with Twilio. Sharing these results allows us to provide your IT team with the specific requirements needed to "whitelist" Barti on your network.
