This article will walk through the patient online scheduling experience.
Where to find your public booking link
Your public booking link should already be linked on your practice website, but it can easily be found by logging into Barti and navigating to Appointments > Availability. You can either open your Public Booking Site or copy the public booking link.
Public Booking Site
Once a patient enters your Public Booking Site, these are the steps they will take to reserve their appointment:
Appointment Type Selection — They will see a list of appointments available along with the duration of each appointment.
Location Selection — They can choose a location (if your practice has multiple locations).
Date, Time, & Staff Selection — Here they will choose the date and time. They can filter time slots by provider.
Patient Information — Once they've chosen their time slot, they will need to fill out their Patient Information. Required fields: - First Name - Last Name - Date of Birth - Phone Number
Final Review — Once they complete their patient information, they will be able to do a final review. If they need to make any changes they can go back to edit.
Appointment Summary — Once submitted, there is an Appointment Summary and a notification that they will hear back from the practice soon.
Managing Locations in Online Scheduling
Org admins can control which locations appear in the patient-facing online booking dropdown. This is useful when a location is temporarily closed or was added in error and you do not want patients to book there.
To hide a location from online scheduling:
- Navigate to Organization Settings > Locations.
- Select the location you want to hide from online booking.
- Toggle off the Show in Online Scheduling setting.
- Click Save.
Important Note: Hiding a location from online scheduling only affects the patient-facing booking site. The location will still appear in all internal Barti dropdowns (scheduling, patient records, reporting, etc.) and will not affect existing appointments.
To make a location visible again, follow the same steps and toggle the setting back on.
Reviewing an Appointment Request
Once an online appointment has been requested, a notification will appear when you log into Barti under Appointments > Requests. You can review the Overview: Appointments article to walk through how to review an appointment request.
