In this article, you will learn how to use Barti's AI Voicemail features to view automated summaries, transcriptions, and translations of voicemail messages, and how to take action directly from the Voicemail table.
1. Navigate to Voicemail
- Select VoIP from the left sidebar.
- Click Voicemail.
The voicemail list loads with the AI Summary and Transcript displayed below each message.
2. View Translations for Non-English Messages
Messages in a language other than English display a language badge (e.g., [ES] for Spanish) in the transcript section.
The system detects the language automatically and displays the English translation immediately below the original text.
3. Voicemail Table Actions
Each voicemail in the table supports the following actions:
- Play — play the voicemail audio; on smaller screens, the play button replaces the progress bar for a cleaner layout
- Create Task — opens the new task dialog with the AI Summary pre-populated in the task description (editable before saving)
- Mark as Read / Unread — toggle the read status of a voicemail
- Delete — remove a voicemail from the table
FAQ
What languages does AI transcription support? The system automatically detects the language and provides an English translation for non-English voicemails. Supported languages may vary.
Will the AI Summary always be accurate? The AI Summary works best with clear audio. For very short or silent recordings, the summary may be limited or unavailable.
