Quick answer: In the exam, click Review Imported Data, select the file, check its label, and click Assign Imported Data. The file is saved to the patient's Files and linked to the exam.

Who this is for: All Barti users who work in exams.

Before you start, you'll need:

Steps

1. Open Review Imported Data

  1. Open the patient's exam.

  2. Click Review Imported Data in the top-right corner of the exam.

  3. Select the file from the list. Each entry shows the device name and when it was created.

2. Check the file

  1. Confirm the Device Name and File Name match the file you expect.

  2. Review the preview. For a PDF with more than one page, click Next Page → and ← Previous Page to move through it.

3. Set the label

  1. In Label, keep the device name that appears by default, or type or select a different label.

4. Assign the file

  1. Click Assign Imported Data.

5. Find the file in the patient's Files

  1. In the patient sidebar, select Files.

  2. Look under This Exam for the file. Its Source is Machine Integration.

What you'll see when it works

The review window closes and the file is saved to the patient's Files, linked to the exam. It no longer appears in the Review Imported Data list.

Remove a file you attached by mistake

  1. Open the patient's Files.

  2. Open the actions menu for the file and click Delete.

  3. In the Remove Imported File window, click Yes, Remove File.

Barti shows "File returned to Unassigned Imported Data." The file is not deleted. It moves to Exams > Imported Data, where you can view it or delete it.

Troubleshooting

Why don't I see my file in Review Imported Data?

Review Imported Data lists files imported in the last 10 minutes. Check that the file was exported from the device, that the Barti Machine Integration app was running, and that the file is a .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf under 50MB. Files that are older than 10 minutes, or that have already been assigned, don't appear in the list. All files that haven't been assigned to an exam are on Exams > Imported Data, listed by date imported, device name, and data type.

Why does Barti show an error when I click Assign Imported Data?

The label may not be allowed or may be too long. The window stays open. Change the label and click Assign Imported Data again.

Why does the window say "Preview unavailable"?

Barti can't show a preview of this file. You can still attach it to the exam. Click Assign Imported Data.

Where did the label on my file come from?

Barti uses the device name you entered during setup as the default label. You can change it in Label before you assign the file.
