How do I run the Contact Lens Sales Report in Barti?

Go to Reports → Optical Orders, open Contact Lens Sales, and see contact lens charges billed in the period, broken out by manufacturer and product.

Who this is for: All Barti users who track contact lens sales.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Barti account with permission to view reports

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, click Reports, then Optical Orders.

  2. Click the Contact Lens Sales tab.

  3. Use the filter options to narrow results by Location and date range.

  4. Review the grid, grouped by manufacturer and product.

  5. To export, click Export, then choose Current View (the grid as shown) or Raw Data (one row per charge, with invoice detail).

What you'll see when it works

The report shows contact lens charges grouped by manufacturer and product, with columns for Manufacturer, Product, Default Boxes, Pack Size, Quantity, Subtotal, Discounts, Taxes, Total, Adjustments, Patient Resp., Insurance Resp., and Balance. The Raw Data export adds Invoice Record Number, Invoice Link, Charge Date, Invoice Date, Service Date, Location, Patient Name, Billing Code, and Billing Description.

How this report pulls its data

  • The date filter uses the Charge Date — the moment the charge was created in Barti. Editing a charge through the full Edit Charge form resets its Charge Date to the moment of the edit; quick inline edits to quantity or responsibility don't.

  • Only contact lens inventory items are included. VOID invoices are excluded from both Current View and Raw Data.

  • Manufacturer and Product are looked up live from the linked inventory item every time the report runs, not stored at charge time. If either is blank, updating the inventory item corrects it everywhere it appears, including on past dates.

Troubleshooting

Manufacturer or Product is showing blank.

I don't see a Staff filter.

This report only filters by date range and location.
