How do I run the Unbilled Procedure Codes Report in Barti?

Go to Reports → Billing, open Unbilled Procedure Codes, and see finalized-exam procedure codes that haven't landed on a billed charge yet.

Who this is for: All Barti users who track billing follow-up on completed exams.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Barti account with permission to view reports

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, click Reports, then Billing.

  2. Click the Unbilled Procedure Codes tab.

  3. Use the filter options to narrow results by Location, Provider, and date range.

  4. Review the grid.

  5. To export, click Export.

What you'll see when it works

The report shows one row per unbilled procedure code, with columns for Patient, Date of Service, Provider, Location, CPT Code, and Description. The CSV export adds an MRN column, between Patient and Date of Service, that isn't shown on screen.

How this report pulls its data

  • Date of Service filters on the exam date, not the appointment date or invoice date.

  • Only finalized exams are included — codes are read from the exam's latest signed version.

  • A code counts as unbilled if it isn't on an enabled charge attached to a non-void invoice. A code you already billed can reappear here if that charge is later disabled or its invoice is voided.

  • This report is available to every org, with no eligibility restriction.

Troubleshooting

A code I already billed is showing up again.

Check whether the charge was disabled or its invoice voided — either makes the code count as unbilled again.

A code I know is unbilled isn't listed.

Confirm the exam is Finalized — unsigned or in-progress exams aren't included.

I don't see the patient's MRN.

It's in the CSV export only, not the on-screen grid.
