How do I run the Lens Sales Report in Barti?

Go to Reports → Optical Orders, open Lens Sales, and see eyeglass lens charges billed in the period, filtered by lens material, design, or add-on.

Who this is for: All Barti users who track eyeglass lens sales. This report covers eyeglass lenses — for contacts, see the Contact Lens Sales Report.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Barti account with permission to view reports

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, click Reports, then Optical Orders.

  2. Click the Lens Sales tab.

  3. Use the filter options to narrow results by Location, date range, and Lens Type (Lens Material, Lens Design, Lens Add-On — leave blank to include all three).

  4. Review the grid.

  5. To export, click Export, then choose Current View or Raw Data.

What you'll see when it works

The report shows lens charges with columns for Product, Type, Quantity, Subtotal, Discounts, Taxes, Total, Adjustments, Patient Resp., Insurance Resp., and Balance — the last six hidden by default, available through Manage columns.

How this report pulls its data

  • The date filter uses the Charge Date — the moment the charge was created in Barti. Editing a charge through the full Edit Charge form resets its Charge Date to the moment of the edit; quick inline edits to quantity or responsibility don't.

  • Only lens inventory items are included (Lens Material, Lens Design, Lens Add-On product types); the Lens Type filter narrows to one or more of those.

  • VOID invoices are excluded.

  • There's no Manufacturer or Coating column — only Product (item name) and Type (Lens Material/Design/Add-On) describe each row.

Troubleshooting

I don't see a Manufacturer or Material breakdown.

This report doesn't group by manufacturer or coating, only by product name and lens type.

I only see one lens type.

Check the Lens Type filter — it may be narrowed to a single type.
