How do I run the Glasses Frames Sales Report in Barti?

Go to Reports → Optical Orders, open Glasses Frames Sales, and see frame charges billed in the period, broken out by brand, collection, and model.

Who this is for: All Barti users who track glasses frame sales.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Barti account with permission to view reports

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, click Reports, then Optical Orders.

  2. Click the Glasses Frames Sales tab.

  3. Use the filter options to narrow results by Location and date range.

  4. Review the grid, grouped by Brand, Collection, Model, Color, Eye Size, and DBL.

  5. To see additional columns (Discounts, Taxes, Adjustments, Balance, Patient Resp., Insurance Resp.), hover over a column header, click the three-dot menu, then Manage columns — they're hidden by default.

  6. To export, click Export, then choose Current View or Raw Data (one row per charge, with invoice detail).

What you'll see when it works

The report shows frame charges grouped by frame attributes, with columns for Brand, Collection, Model, Color, Eye Size, DBL, Quantity, Subtotal, Discounts, Taxes, Total, Adjustments, Patient Resp., Insurance Resp., and Balance. The Raw Data export adds Invoice Record Number, Invoice Link, Charge Date, Invoice Date, Service Date, Location, Patient Name, UPC, Billing Code, and Billing Description.

How this report pulls its data

  • The date filter uses the Charge Date — the moment the charge was created in Barti. Editing a charge through the full Edit Charge form resets its Charge Date to the moment of the edit; quick inline edits to quantity or responsibility don't.

  • Only glasses frames inventory items are included. VOID invoices are excluded.

  • The on-screen view groups every charge by frame attributes — it's a summary, not one row per sale. Use Raw Data for itemized detail.

  • Brand, Collection, and Model are looked up live from the linked inventory item every time the report runs, not stored at charge time — updating a frame's inventory record corrects every past report row automatically.

Troubleshooting

On-screen totals don't match one specific sale.

Rows are grouped by frame attributes, not by invoice. Export Raw Data for a per-charge breakdown.

I don't see Discounts, Taxes, Adjustments, Balance, or Resp. columns.

They're hidden by default. Use Manage columns to turn them on.
