How do I add or remove columns in a Barti report?

Hover over any column header in a report, click the three-dot menu icon, then click Manage columns to toggle columns on or off.

Who this is for: All Barti users who want to customize which data appears in a report or CSV export.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Barti account with permission to view reports

  • Any report except the Production Report, which is a chart rather than a table

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, click Reports, then open the report you want.

  2. Hover over any column header.

  3. Click the three-dot menu icon that appears in the header.

  4. Click Manage columns.

  5. Toggle the columns you want to show or hide.

  6. The table updates immediately to reflect your selections.

Use Find column to search a long list, or Show all / Hide all to toggle everything at once.

On Inventory History, the three-dot menu appears on the Status column header only.

What you'll see when it works

The report table shows only the columns you've toggled on. When you download a CSV:

  • Standard Report: the CSV includes only the columns currently displayed in the table.

  • All other reports: the CSV includes all available columns, regardless of which ones are currently visible.

Column choices apply to your current session. If you navigate away and come back, the report returns to its default columns.

Troubleshooting

I don't see a three-dot menu on my column header.

Hover directly over the column header text — the icon only appears on hover. On Inventory History, only the Status column header has a menu. The Production Report is a chart rather than a table, so it has no columns to manage.

My CSV downloaded more columns than I expected.

For most reports (excluding Standard), the CSV always exports all available columns — not just the ones displayed on screen. This is by design. If you need to limit the exported columns, use your spreadsheet application to hide or delete the columns you don't need after downloading.

My column choices reset when I reopen the report.

That's expected today — column selections apply to your current session and return to defaults when you reopen the report. Saved report preferences are in development.

Which columns can I turn on for the Patient Aging Report?

MRN, DOB, and Collections are available but hidden by default. Turn them on through Manage columns.
