How do I run the Net Revenue Report in Barti?

Go to Reports → Overview to open the Net Revenue Report, then optionally filter by location and date range to see a summary of collections, orders, appointments, and payment method breakdown.

Who this is for: All Barti users who want a high-level summary of practice performance for a given period.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Barti account with permission to view reports

Steps

  1. In the left navigation, click Reports, then Overview.

  2. The Net Revenue Report loads by default.

  3. (Optional) Filter by Location and Date Range to focus on a specific period or site.

  4. Review the report data (see below for what each section shows).

What you'll see when it works

The Net Revenue Report displays:

  • Total amount collected from invoices and payments for the selected date range

  • Glasses and contact lens orders for the selected date range

  • Total appointments with a patient attached, for the selected date range, filtered by appointment start time. Status doesn't affect this count — cancelled appointments are included as long as a patient is attached.

  • CEE Count — determined by use of CPT codes 92004 and 92014

  • CL Evals — determined by use of CPT code 92310

  • Payment method table — the amount and percentage breakdown of collected revenue by payment source

How this report pulls its data

  • Revenue = all payments (patient + insurance) by payment date, on non-VOID invoices.

  • CEE and CL Eval counts use the invoice's service date (falling back to invoice date), not payment date — so they can reflect a different set of invoices than the revenue figure for the same date range.

  • Glasses and contact lens orders count by order created date, regardless of order status.

Troubleshooting

Why doesn't the Net Revenue total match my Gross Production report?

These reports measure different things recorded at different points in time. Net Revenue shows payments actually received, recorded on the payment date. Gross Production shows charges billed, recorded on the charge created date. A lag between the two — especially with insurance — is expected and normal. See What does each Barti report measure? for a full explanation.

Why does my appointment count include cancelled appointments?

The total appointment count is pulled directly from your calendar, filtered by appointment start time, and doesn't check status — cancelled appointments count as long as a patient is attached. Calendar entries with no patient attached (blocked time, etc.) are excluded. If you need a count of completed appointments only, follow Appointments > Schedule and filter by status for the desired date range.

Why don't my Net Revenue totals match QuickBooks Online?

QBO only reflects what has been synced through the integration and categorizes transactions according to your chart of accounts. For reconciliation, the Payment Method / Day Sheet report is a closer match to QBO since both measure cash collected. See What does each Barti report measure? for more detail.
