Troubleshooting
A balance is showing under the wrong payer on a crossover claim.
Barti corrected how partially paid crossover claims (most commonly Medicare to a secondary payer) are attributed. Previously, a partially paid claim kept its full balance under the primary payer. The remaining balance now shows under the secondary payer when one is on file. Which invoices appear and the dollar amounts are unchanged — only the payer a balance sits under. If you still see a balance under the wrong payer, confirm the secondary insurance is on file for that patient, then create a support ticket.
How do I make sure my data is accurate?
Double-check the filters applied before drawing conclusions. Filtering by a specific location, status, or insurance provider can significantly change the totals shown.
How often should I review this report?
Schedule a recurring review — weekly or monthly depending on your claims volume — to stay on top of outstanding balances before they age further.
A patient's claim isn't showing up. What should I check?
Confirm the claim has been submitted and that the insurance provider is correctly assigned on the invoice. If the claim is submitted but not appearing, create a support ticket.
