Troubleshooting

I can't find the patient in the Patient Aging Report.

Confirm the Patient Only filter is selected. If the patient still doesn't appear, they may have no outstanding balance. You can also search for the patient in the universal search bar at the top.

I can't find Reports under Billing anymore.

Reports moved to their own Reports section in the left navigation, between Billing and Insurance. The Patient Aging Report is on the Insurance tab.

I want to send the statement electronically instead of printing it.

Currently, outstanding invoices cannot be sent to the patient. However, the patient portal can be enabled on their profile and that will give the patient access to see outstanding invoices, prescriptions, and upcoming appointments. Keep in mind, at this time, they cannot submit payment for outstanding invoices in the portal, they can simply view the outstanding invoices.

The statement is addressed to the wrong family member.

When you select multiple invoices from a guarantor's record, the statement addresses to whichever patient has the oldest invoice number in the selection — not necessarily the guarantor. On a family with several dependents, this is often one of the minors, since their invoice may simply be older.

To ensure the statement addresses correctly, print invoices from the individual patient's record rather than the guarantor's combined view. This eliminates ambiguity about whose invoices are included.
